Setup guide

From nothing to a song on the Sonos.

Set this up once for the office. Everyone else can join from their browser or Slack. Keep the computer running the office app on while music plays. This guide saves your progress, so you can leave and come back.

Checking your setup…

After setup

  • • Next time, Start a Hive from the Hives page.
  • • Invite coworkers with a Hive link or the invite link in Settings. House rules, the volume ceiling, quiet hours and your music service live there too (owner only).
  • • If the home page ever says the office is offline, the computer running the app probably went to sleep or lost the Wi‑Fi. Come back to step 4 to check.
  • • The app keeps itself up to date on a Mac or Linux. On Windows it tells you when there's a new version, and you run the new installer over the old one.
